Ink Portrait for a friend

For one of my friends this year, I decided to do an ink painting while applying the watercolor technique I learned at ringling. I used Liquitex acrylic ink with Dr. PH. Martin india inks. My pallet consists of combined Carbon Black, Quinacridone Magenta, Napthol Crimson, Dioxazine Purple, and medium yellow. Total time I'd say was about 2 hours, and I'm pretty happy with it.

My friend loved it and I forgot how much I enjoy this technique. I'm thinking of eventually working on a few more portraits and giving them to people.

Anyway, here's some art for your viewing pleasure:

I know I promised I'd update this thing more often, and I now have more time to make that effort. I went ahead and re-did the layout and the banner, because my old one was a makeshift/lazy/crappy sort of set-up and now I'm more comfortable giving my link out to people. Stay on the look out for more work :D
